14 days. No questions asked.
Buy a GNexusOS core licence, change your mind within 14 days, and you get your money back. You do not have to tell us why. That promise covers the core licence purchase and nothing else — section 04 lists what it does not cover, exhaustively.
01The promise
If you buy a GNexusOS core licence and ask for a refund within 14 days of the purchase, you get a full refund. No reason required, no conditions about how much you used it.
That is the initial core licence purchase. Renewals, seat packs and other add-ons are not refundable, and partial refunds are not offered — section 04 is the exhaustive list, and section 07 says what that does and does not mean in law.
GATKO Technology Inc. — incorporated in Canada. 318-30 Baseball PL, Toronto ON M4M 0E8, Canada.
GNexusOS is GATKO Technology Inc.'s product. The company's domain is gatkotech.com; the product's is gnexusos.com. Legal and privacy: [email protected]. Product and support: [email protected].
Purchasing is not open yet — there is no checkout on this site today. This is the policy that will apply to purchases when it opens.
02How to ask
Paddle is the merchant of record for purchases of GNexusOS and processes refunds. You can ask either way round:
- Through Paddle — the receipt Paddle emails you links to its buyer support, which handles the request directly;
- Through us — email [email protected] with the email address you bought with, and we will put the refund through with Paddle.
Either route is fine and neither is slower by design. Paddle returns the money to the payment method you used; how soon it appears depends on your bank and that method.
03What happens to the licence
A refund undoes the sale, so it undoes the licence:
- the licence is revoked;
- your right to use GNexusOS under it ends — please uninstall it;
- the application stops running agents, at the licence's next check-in. No hiring, no agent runs, no new work;
- the licence service refuses activations for it — including from the machine that already holds it — and it no longer entitles you to updates.
Your data stays yours and stays readable. Your workspace, your agent transcripts and your files are on your own disk and they stay there — accessible, and exportable. A refund takes back the product, not your work. We do not hold a person's own files over a payment that went back to them.
It is worth knowing the mechanism, because it is the thing that lets a perpetual licence and a refund policy exist side by side.
When purchasing opens, the licence issued at the moment of purchase will be time-limited, lasting a little over a fortnight. For about the first two weeks the application will check in with the licence service daily, sending a licence id and nothing else. Once the 14-day refund window has closed, that check returns a licence valid for a year — and from then on the application asks about once a year, and each time we renew that year for any licence that has not been revoked.
Keep your purchase and you own it outright. The answer to that annual question is always yes: there is no age limit, nothing to buy again, and renewing your update window makes no difference to it. What the check buys us is the ability to honour a reversed payment — a refund inside our 14 days, or a card chargeback months later, which is the thing a once-and-never-again licence could not reach. It is the reason we can promise 14 days, no questions asked, on a licence that does not expire.
And if we cannot be reached, the software keeps working. That is the clause that matters most here. Offline, our service down, a network between us failing — none of it stops anything; the application carries on with the licence it holds. The only answer that stops it is a definitive one from us saying the licence was revoked, and a missing answer is never treated as that. So a refund does not reach into your machine and switch something off: it revokes the licence, and the application finds out the next time it asks.
If a licence does lapse for an innocent reason — you were offline for a fortnight — the application will tell you to connect to finish activating, and it resolves itself the moment you are online. We renew any licence that was not refunded, whenever we are asked. A lapse is an inconvenience, never a lost purchase and never a reason to buy again.
04What is not refundable
The promise in section 01 covers the initial core licence purchase. It covers nothing else, and this list is exhaustive:
| Purchase | Refundable |
|---|---|
| The core licence, first purchase | Yes — within 14 days, no questions asked |
| Update renewals | No |
| Agent seat packs | No |
| Workspace packs, and any other one-time pack or add-on | No |
| Subscription charges, if we ever offer a subscription add-on | No — cancellable at any time, but charges already taken are not returned |
| Part of any purchase | Partial refunds are not offered, on anything |
Why the core licence is treated differently from everything else: a no-questions window exists for a decision you have not had the chance to test. A renewal or a pack is bought by someone already running the product, who knows exactly what they are buying. A pack also is not a separate thing you take delivery of — it adds capacity to the licence you already hold, and that capacity is yours to keep.
“Not refundable” here means GATKO is not promising a refund. It is our policy, exercised at our discretion — not a statement about your legal rights, which section 07 covers.
05Not renewing is not a refund
These are two different things and the difference is the whole of it:
- Not renewing is a purchase that completed. You keep the version you bought, you stop receiving new ones, and the software keeps running and keeps working — with everything you paid for, for as long as you want it. That is what perpetual means, and nothing on this page changes it.
- A refund is a purchase that did not complete. The money goes back, and the licence it paid for goes with it.
So letting your update window lapse is the first case, always. It is not a revocation and it stops nothing but new versions. The application still asks about the licence once a year, as section 03 describes, and a lapsed update window changes nothing about the answer: we renew the licence of anyone who was not refunded, whether or not they bought another year of updates. See the Terms of Service.
06Founding purchases
A founding licence bought at the discounted price refunds on exactly the same terms as one bought at full price.
One honest detail: a refunded founding purchase does not return its slot to the founding pool. The counter on our pricing section counts slots claimed, not licences currently held, so a refund never puts a 151st founding licence into the world.
Which means the founding price goes with it. If you refund a founding licence, you cannot buy another one at the founding price. You are welcome back whenever you like — at the standard price, on the same terms, with the same 14 days. We would rather say this here than surprise anyone at a second checkout: the discount is tied to a slot, and the slot was spent.
07Your statutory rights are untouched
This policy is in addition to the rights you have by law, and nothing here limits them. Where this page says a purchase is not refundable, that is our policy and our discretion — not an override of your legal rights, and not a claim that we could override them.
In particular, consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom have statutory cooling-off rights for distance purchases of digital content, which apply regardless of what this page says. Paddle, as merchant of record, applies those rights — to a renewal or a pack as much as to the core licence, whatever section 04 says our policy is. Our 14-day, no-questions promise on the core licence is intended to be at least as generous as those rights, and wherever the law gives you more than our policy does, the law wins. Consumers elsewhere, including under Canadian consumer protection law, keep their own statutory rights in the same way.
08Fraud and abuse
“No questions asked” means we will not make you justify a refund. It does not cover a purchase made fraudulently or with someone else's payment method, or a pattern of buying and refunding the same product repeatedly. In those cases we may decline, and a licence obtained that way may be revoked, with the effect described in section 03 — without affecting any statutory right you have.
If something is wrong with a purchase, email us before raising a chargeback with your bank: a refund is faster. A payment that is reversed or charged back results in the licence being revoked, as the Terms of Service set out.
09After 14 days
After 14 days we are not promising a refund. Email [email protected] anyway if something has gone wrong — a licence that will not activate, a purchase that went through twice, a charge you do not recognise. Those are support problems and we would rather fix them than have you live with them.
